Recessed Lighting

Q: How close may insulation be to non-IC housings?
A: Three inches minimum from all sides.

Q: The light in a recessed housing goes out after a period and comes back on after some time (commonly known as cycling). How can this be stopped?
A: 1. Make sure the lamp wattage does not exceed the maximum listed on the trim's label.
2. Check to see if blown-in insulation is used. This can cause overheating and cycling.

Q: Can the blown-in or wet insulation be used with IC housings?
A: Yes, with IC-Airtight cans only. However, the max wattage must be reduced to 75%. Max. wattage is tested with each trim and type of lamp with fiberglass insulation only. NOTE: Highest wattage 6 inch can we carry in IC-AT is 8112HA

Q: Is the 81 Firebox UL rated?
A: On April 25, 2002, Omega Point Laboratories certified the 81 Firebox to the American Society for Testing and Materials specification ASTM E119-00a Standard Methods of Fire Tests of Building Construction and Materials. The 81Firebox also meets the following fire rated specifications: UL 263, UBC 7-1, NFPA 251 and ASI A2.1

Track Lighting

Q: How many track heads you can put on the track?
A: As many as you want as long as you don't exceed 20AMPS per run.

Q: With which standard system (Juno or Halo) is Royal track compatible?
A: Juno system.

Q: Can the Flex track be joined together to make longer runs?
A: No. Each transformer in the kit is specific to the # of heads/wattage for the kit.

Ceiling Fans

Q: How many fans can be controlled with one wall control?
A: Only one with the exception of WC-4. All Royal Pacific. fans are rated less than 1 Amp at high speed and all Royal Pacific controls( except WC-4) are rated 1 Amp max. NOTE: WC-4 is max 5 Amp so it can control from 2 to 5 fans.

Q: What size down rod is packaged with Royal fans?
A: 4 inch.

Q: Are Royal fan down rods threaded on one or both ends?
A: One end.

Exit & Emergency Lighting

Q: Referring to the RXL25 series self luminescent exit signs: How long must the sign be illuminated by an external source before obtaining full brightness?
A: It requires 60 minutes of unfiltered fluorescent light.

Q: Referring to the RXL25 series self luminescent exit signs: How long will it stay illuminated after the power goes out and from how far is it visible?
A: The sign will remain illuminated for 90 minutes and is visible from 75 feet.

Q: Are all exit signs and emergency lights damp location listed?
A: REL9, RXL23, and RXEL24 are wet location listed. All other exit signs and emergency lights are damp location listed.

Q: What are the wattages for the 9304 and 9306 Address Lights?
A: 9304 = 12V LED, total 1 Watt and 9306 = 120V LED, total 0.5 Watts

General

Q: Are your products UL listed.
A: All Royal Pacific products are UL or ETL listed, to ensure product safety and conformance with accepted standards. Both agencies are independent testing laboratories.

Q: What type of location requires wet listed products?
A: Any location where there is a chance for water to come in direct contact with the fixture. Example: A patio that is directly exposed to the elements.

Q: Where should a "damp location listed" product used?
A: Locations with exceptionally high humidity. Example: Showers, saunas.
